Super 7

I've hit on this a little bit in the last few days but things keep progressing and it's very noteworthy.
Newsflash: The NFL draft was this weekend.

With the second pick in the draft Carson Wentz was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. It's been discussed ad nauseam so I'm going to leave it at that.

In the fifth round his left tackle Joe Haeg got snatched by the Indianapolis Colts.

Like I said, I've covered this stuff in the past few days but there is new information that ought to be relayed.

After
The draft had 253 picks this year, which as always leaves hundreds of players available to the teams as undrafted free agents (UDFAs).

Amongst those hundreds were several Bison stand outs.

Cornerback CJ Smith
Tight end Andrew Bonnet
Offensive Lineman Jeremy Kelly
Tight end Luke Albers
And Punter Ben LeCompte

Each one has found their way into several teams' rookie mini camps

CJ is joining Carson in Philadelphia
Bonnet will be with the NFC Champion Panthers
Kelly is off to Atlanta
While Albers got grabbed by Arizona
And LeCompte is either going to be in Minnesota or Chicago, there are reports that say one, the other or both.

7 Bison, 7 teams. It's a long journey from Rookie mini camp to the opening weekend of the NFL but it's already been a successful weekend for the 7 of them. So the Herd is spreading to new teams and nationwide. These super 7 will represent us well and will hopefully be able to make it with the teams that have taken the first crack with them or maybe a different team down the road. Their work ethic and ability will be evident from day one and yeah it's just great that they are getting these opportunities!
