The Cole in my Stocking (Rube Rant)

Free Agency has been live for over 67 hours and the Timberwolves prize is....Cole Aldrich?!

I'm fine with the slow approach that they took because of some of the contracts that were getting handed our were obnoxious! Look no further than the money that Parsons got from Grizzlies and Mozgov got from the Lakers as evidence. Since yesterday afternoon the money's come back to sane amounts but still no news until a few hours ago.

Waiting that long for a third string center is hardly satisfying. When the only other thing we've gotten is a bunch of rumors of the team "making calls" and it's just annoying.

The core of the team may be assembled but we don't even have enough salary to meet the minimum salary requirement.

Making calls doesn't cut it!

Not bringing in players worth playing time, doesn't cut it!

Thibs is a great coach but he has a lot to prove as far as roster management goes.

It's premature to start calling for his replacement from that role but seriously, get your job done!

There are still plenty of free agents worth bringing in but it's up to him and Layden to make it happen.

I'm not going to break down who I'd like to see get signed because I did all that work and none of those guys were brought in so I'm not going to waste more time right now speculating.

I'm just going to rant about it because it feels similar to waking up on Christmas Morning, excited and optimistic, only to have squat to show for it.

So great, we signed a guy! Now go get one that may contribute on a nightly basis!
