The two predominant things that I will be watching for tonight are:
A) Trae Waynes' performance
B) Cordarrelle Patterson
Undoubtedly there will be many other things worth noting so check back through out the game as great or terrible things happen with the Purple.
Let me know what you think of the game as it goes along as well!
Why the Hill is Shaun starting??? That is not what we need to show up better!
A nice connection to Theilen.
Throwing on the run is not Hill strength... tackle got beat on that one!
Off his left foot, into fairly tight coverage, Hill should know better then to throw that pass!
Let's see how the defense does!
Locke seems to have done a splendid job pinning the Hawks deep! Bueno
Either Wilson is in mid season form, or the defense isn't ready...or both. Either way this is ugly right now!
After the gaff, a nice stop on 3 and short! Only to be out done one player later! Shamar Stephen with a man sized effort on that one!
Teddy being dressed but not playing is preposterous!
Second week in a row that Trae is going to get a lot of PT now that Rhodes is out. Someone wants him to succeed!
Patterson with a nice reception off what looked like a nicely run route. I need to see more before I'll consider it more then a fluke.
Anthony Barr with a PRETTY sack of Russell Wilson! Let's get more of that this year!!
Hill tried to squeeze it in again. Best part about it was that Treadwell walked away from the Seahawk DB's like a veteran.
Both of these offenses's are weak right now!
I like this Stoudermire kid!
Waiting on the flag but that was a beautiful pass to Rudolph.
Roughing the passer. Lets go!
Again with the throw into tight coverage. That's becoming a habit. Not. A. Fan.
MyCole, my man! nice first down conversion.
I can't believe they're leaving Wilson in for the whole first half!
Wouldn't mind a defensive TD right now!
Nice coverage by the rookie Alexander!
Well, for one preseason half of football, the defense has been able to handle an elusive QB. Good sign, I'd say!
A former Wisconsin player dominated in game 1. Can another one (Stave) do the same thing in this one? We'll find out!
Adam Thielen continues to prove how much he deserves to be in the NFL. Good for him! It'll always be a nice story, no matter how long his career lasts.
First possession of the second half, the Vikings run defense is weak.
CJ Ham is a good player. I wish he had a shot against the top defense to show whether he's legit or a mirage.
Allowing a four yard gain after first contact is unacceptable.
I don't know what position Stoudermire is supposedly but I'd take him as a returner if the Vikings weren't as deep as they are. In other words, I think he'll get a shot somewhere else.
Take Aways
Patterson got some run this time and made some decent plays. Not enough for me to take him off the bubble but Rick may see things differently.
Waynes performed admirably again but Alexander may catch him on the depth chart.
Hill looked better then I thought he would.
The Offensive line did a better job but still needs to improve.
The Run Defense wasn't noticeably better but the defense as a whole made some nice plays.
As always happens, good players will be cut and find success elsewhere. The right guys need to be kept.
That's it for game 2. A week and half should do a lot to resolve some of the issues. We'll just have to wait and see how things shake out to that end.
